Joshua Smithe is the typical boy next door. He’s got good looks. A steady job. Girlfriend. Well, an ex-girlfriend. And he certainly never thought he could ever swing the other way. No, sir. Straight guy in all his glory right here.
Until he meets the Shaezu twins. For the first time in his life, men make his cock hard. Well, those two men.
Arael and Drasen Shaezu are descendants of the Fallen. In order to achieve Enlightenment, their kind must bond with humans. When they come to Earth in search of their bond mate, they discover that Josh is the one. Now, all they need to do is convince Josh that two gorgeous, otherworldly, winged Fallen are better than one bitchy ex-girlfriend.
Review:
Josh is a regular guys with a self-esteem problem. He never went to college and has a job as a public service rep and is dating the bosses daughter, well, when she hasn’t broken up with him, again. He’s at a wine bar and is deciding he is unsophisticated as she claimed when he realizes he hates wine. He’s approached by Arael and Drasen and before he knows it, he’s going for a ride in their Ferrari and he’s more turned on than he’s ever been, which is odd since he’s always been straight.
A blow job in the car makes him question his orientation, but even testing it on the resident bi-guy at work proves it’s just the twins. Despite his girlfriend trying to get him back, he’s decided to grow a spine, although he does attend her birthday party where he saves her from being beaten by her current boyfriend and is badly injured. The twins then reveal that they are some kind of descendents of fallen angels and they only way they can reach attainment is to find their bond mate and Josh is it.
I’m always up for some angel twincest, although in this case the twins don’t appear to be interested in each other, only sharing Josh. I did find the language used at time fell into purple prose territory.
Arael kissed me again as my core being hung by a silky spider thread, hanging on the precipice of rapture.
It didn’t always happen, but every now and then it got to be a bit much for me, and had me thinking about the language rather than the story. I did like how Josh grew a spine with this ex, but even then he was a good guy and didn’t hesitate to help her when she was attacked. Even though she threatened his job – not that he needed one with boyfriends who were millionaires – he stayed firm. So if you are in the mood for a little mystical menage with sexy angelic twins, it’s a good choice. However, it was pretty standard paranormal influenced GFY.
You know I’m not a fan of the twincest…
Yes, I know not your thing. I’m not sure however this is true twincest as in the story the twins don’t actually touch each other and focus on Josh exclusively. I’m not sure you are meant to assume they do or that they don’t. It’s never spelled out. I just read another book this week where it was spelled out. No touchy, just being in bed nekkid at the same time.
