Brief Encounters is a review site for m/m romance short stories. After generally bemoaning the lack of reviews for our well loved m/m shorts, Jenre and Tam decided to do something about it and produced this site. Here you will find reviews of a range of different genres all within the remit of m/m romance and covering stories of (approximately) less than 20,000 words.
Our aim is to produce reviews which give an honest, objective, informed opinion on the story. Because of this there is the strong likelihood that some of the reviews will be full of praise and some will be highly critical. The comments section allows for lively discussions and we would like to encourage that, but please keep your comments respectful at all times. Insulting the reviewer, author or other commenters, will not be tolerated.

The stories reviewed on this site were obtained by either the reviewer purchasing the book, or by the publisher or author sending a free copy of the book for us to review. Regardless of how the book was obtained, all books will be treated in the same fashion. Please note, we do not condone book piracy and as such our files are not passed onto book sharing sites.
